PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Global Offensive (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Hell's Bells- AC/DC as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones slips a jab from Offensive.
Jones lands a nice looking body shot.
Offensive takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cain Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones fails to land the takedown.
Offensive feinted with a counter takedown.
Jones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Offensive as he avoids it easily.

Offensive has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Offensive there as he acknowledges the shot.
Offensive stalks Jones and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jones's face. Jones staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Cain Jones has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Offensive throws a jab but it's blocked by Jones.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jones lands a nice short elbow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Offensive needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there.
Offensive throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Offensive moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Global Offensive will probably get the nod.
