Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donn King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jazzy Zozzel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zozzel rushes King and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Zozzel has clasped his hands together around King's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

King stands up from Zozzel's guard - King perhaps looking for a knockout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
King blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Zozzel jumps into guard, dragging King to the mat.
Zozzel wants to control the position but King says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Zozzel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Zozzel manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. King keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

King pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Zozzel closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zozzel lands in his opponent's guard.
King has his hands on Zozzel's head, controlling the position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now King is on top in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A close round but Jazzy Zozzel will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Zozzel throws a right hand that King ducks under and follows up with a left that King also avoids with ease.
As Zozzel looks to move away, King throws a big counter combo but Zozzel just gets out of the way.

King dives in for a single leg takedown but Zozzel sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
King shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zozzel pinned against the cage. Zozzel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
King could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Zozzel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in King's guard.
King wants to sweep but no luck.
King is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
King has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
King might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Donn King overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close second round but I would say that Donn King will probably get the nod.

King has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
King would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
