Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tj Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Stones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevie Stones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tj Mack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stevie Stones!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mack but Mack pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mack rushes Stones and presses him up against the cage.
Mack is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Stones blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Mack is trying to force a seperation but Stones has the dominant position.

Stones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mack showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stones.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mack shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mack wants to stand and escape but instead Stones has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Mack has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stones looking to pass the guard.
Mack wants to get back to his feet but Stones is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mack looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stones is one step ahead there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mack is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mack looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Stones is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Mack avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Stones content to stall in guard here.

Mack tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Stones closes the distance and pushes Mack back into the cage.
Mack tries to score a body lock takedown but Stones shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Stones is looking to take this one to the mat.
Mack changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stones fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mack stuffs the takedown.
Tj Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stevie Stones.
Mack tries for a takedown but Stones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Stones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Stones has managed to clinch.
Mack wants to stall.
Mack is breathing heavily.

Mack tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stones just stands there and leans against the cage.

Stones ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stones no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Mack avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mack looking to sit in guard and control but Stones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Stones looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Stones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stevie Stones dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Stones takes the fight into the clinch.
Mack letting Stones take a breather here.
Mack tries to pull guard but Stones won't allow it.

Stones successfully pulls guard.
Mack wants to get up but he can't break Stones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Mack wants to control from the top but Stones keeps moving.
Stones wants to stand and escape but Mack is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mack avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mack trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Mack wants to control from the top but Stones keeps moving.
Stones controls Mack momentarily but Mack frees himself.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mack trying to control but Stones is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mack shoots in for a takedown but Stones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mack shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stones as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tj Mack. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mack looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Stones shoots in but no luck this time.
Stones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mack's waist but Mack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stones off to one side.

Stones darts in and clinches Mack up against the cage.

Stones breaks the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mack.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stones shoots in but no luck this time.
A combination from Stones does no damage.
Mack seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Mack has Stones up against the cage in a clinch.
Stones keeps control of Mack as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Stones pulls guard successfully.
Mack postures up.
Mack tries to free his leg and advance position but Stones is retaining full guard.

Mack gets to his feet - Stones follows without any prompting.
Stones closes the distance and clinches up with Mack, looking for a takedown. Stones pushes Mack against the cage but Mack circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mack drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Stones manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Stones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mack sprawls well initially but Stones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stones stalling.
Stones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Stones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Stones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stevie Stones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Mack's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Stones slaps away a takedown attempt from Mack, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Stones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Stones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mack throws Stones to one side and escapes!
Mack keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mack.
Stones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mack sprawls well. Mack wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stones gets slowly back to his feet.
Stones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mack gets tackled into the cage by Stones. Stones maintains the clinch.
Mack wants to break free but Stones has control.

Stones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mack shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stones defends it nicely.
Mack tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Stones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mack but Mack pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tj Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stevie Stones.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Mack has taken the fight to the clinch.

Stones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Left hook, right uppercut from Mack.


It looks like Stevie Stones has been cut.
Mack slaps away a takedown attempt from Stones, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mack shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stones's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mack sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stones's guard.
Stones tries to get to full guard but Mack has control of the leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stones is trying to control but can't.
Stones misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Stones has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Mack is on him like a limpet, forcing Stones back against the cage.
Stones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mack avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Stones has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mack uses from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mack postures up.

Stones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mack stays in close to Stones's body and controls the position.

Mack lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Mack wants to pass the guard but Stones is keeping the position.
Mack trying to control the position from guard on top but Stones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tj Mack showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Stones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
