Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mystery Perfect (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mystery Perfect!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Scott!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perfect uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Scott throws a nice looking combination but Perfect bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Perfect feinted with a counter takedown.
Scott ducks under a wild hook from Perfect.
Scott throws a head kick but Perfect moves out of range.
Perfect feinted there with a counter leg kick.

Perfect moves into the clinch.
We've been hearing reports that Perfect has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Perfect has Scott pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Scott manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Scott tries to throw a body punch but Perfect avoids it by throwing Scott back against the cage.
Perfect's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scott tries to work over Perfect's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Perfect has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Scott avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Perfect has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Scott after a bit of a struggle.

Perfect tries to score a body lock takedown but Scott shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Scott gets through Perfect's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Scott looks to land a left hand but Perfect moved out of range nicely.
Perfect was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Perfect blocks a head kick by Scott.
Scott misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lewis Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perfect moves out of range of the body kick from Scott.
Perfect half committed to a counter leg kick.
Scott tries to clinch up but Perfect circles away and keeps his distance.

Scott misses with a hook. Perfect ducked under it nicely.

Perfect throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Scott tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Perfect is in Scott's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Perfect looking to sit in guard and control but Scott gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Scott throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Perfect works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Perfect looking for a sweep. Not yet Perfect, not yet.
Scott wanted to stand there but Perfect had control of the position.
Perfect is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Scott slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Scott wants to get up but he can't break Perfect's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Perfect looking for a sweep. Not yet Perfect, not yet.
Perfect is working hard here to advance position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Scott throws a lazy uppercut
letting Perfect counter with a right hand.
A slow jab from Perfect misses its intended target.
Scott misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Scott fails in his attempt to clinch.
A big right from Perfect misses.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Scott.
Scott tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Perfect was well out of range. Poor timing from Scott.
Perfect throws a leg kick but Scott sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Perfect lands a head shot.
Perfect dives in for a single leg takedown but Scott sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Perfect steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Scott.
Scott uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Perfect has time to react.
Scott pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Scott moves into the clinch successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Scott ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Perfect moves away.

Scott drops his hands momentarily and Perfect takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Scott throws an overhand right that lands on Perfect's shoulder, as Perfect tries to avoid the shot.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Scott takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Perfect counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Scott!

Perfect throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Scott works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Scott is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Perfect's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Perfect's back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

I really don't envy Perfect right now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Scott controlling the position well here. Perfect rolled but Scott kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Scott slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Perfect gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Perfect loads up on a big right hand but Scott slips the punch.
Scott gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Perfect counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

A solid body kick from Perfect.

Perfect closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Perfect lands in his opponent's guard.
Perfect scoring with punches to the head and body.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Perfect accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Perfect throws an elbow that misses. Scott uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Perfect's guard. Nice move by Scott!

Scott has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Perfect is proving hard to escape from.

I would just about give that final round to Lewis Scott.
I think Scott has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Lewis Scott bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
The defeated Mystery Perfect had this to say: 'The fight was too easy and boring, and since my opponent looked like he really wanted the W, I thought I'd put on a show and give him the W.The line's getting longer. Better get back to pleasing them single and taken ladies before they go crazy'.
