The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Komamura moves into the clinch successfully.
Lopes is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Komamura is defending well.

Komamura gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Lopes regains guard.

Lopes scrambles and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lopes tries to bum rush Komamura with a series of wild strikes but Komamura uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Komamura looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lopes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Komamura wants to take a breather but Lopes is having none of it.

Lopes has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Komamura. Oh but Lopes has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Komamura goes limp - he's gone! Lopes jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
