Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Colborn Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Hughs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Colborn Sackett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 42 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Hughs!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sackett throws a body kick that misses.
Hughs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As Hughs backs away, Sackett returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Sackett throws a head kick that misses.
Sackett lands with a hook. Hughs tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Hughs lands with an uppercut that bounces Sackett off the cage and back into range.
Hughs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sackett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hughs tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sackett was well out of range. Poor timing from Hughs.
Sackett misses with a body kick.
Hughs takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sackett throws a leg kick

and Hughs counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sackett wants to get back to full guard.
Sackett is holding on to half guard well.
Sackett tries to roll over but Hughs keeps him under control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sackett trying to control from the bottom.
Sackett moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hughs throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Hughs won't allow Sackett to sweep him here.
Sackett looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Sackett wants to get back to his feet but Hughs is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sackett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hughs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sackett swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sackett looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hughs is one step ahead there.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sackett misses with a hook.
Hughs tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hughs on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hughs shoots in but no luck this time.
Sackett is looking to counter punch.
Sackett throws out a loose jab but Hughs uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sackett throws a series of punches but Hughs avoids them all with ease.
Hughs looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Hughs rushes Sackett and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sackett breaks from the clinch.
Sackett goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
A clash of legs there as Hughs blocks the low kick.
Sackett swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Hughs ducks under a wild hook from Sackett.
Sackett moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromHughs.
Hughs works Sackett's body with a nice hook.
Colborn Sackett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sackett lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hughs has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hughs and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Hughs avoids the body shot from Sackett.
Hughs misses with a hook. Sackett ducked under it nicely.
Hughs avoids the head kick by Sackett.
Hughs throws a sloppy head kick and Sackett moves out of range easily.
Sackett throws a leg kick but Hughs checks it.
Sackett throws a nice inside leg kick.

Hughs checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Hughs is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sackett.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A lazy left from Sackett finds it's target.
Hughs moves out of range as Sackett throws a body kick.
Colborn Sackett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A bone on bone clash there as Hughs blocks the leg kick.
Sackett listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sackett enables Hughs to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sackett manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Hughs won't allow Sackett to sweep him here.
Hughs postures up in Sackett's guard and throws a big left but Sackett blocks it.
Sackett wants to stand but Hughs is controlling the position.
Hughs wants to pass the guard but Sackett is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Colborn Sackett dominated that round.

Sackett lands with a straight right. Hughs didn't see that one coming.
Sackett with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hughs lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sackett circles away quickly and effectively.
Colborn Sackett is winning the standup battle so far.
Sackett throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sackett throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hughs fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sackett throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hughs swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Sackett throws a nice inside leg kick.
Hughs tries to clinch but Sackett moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sackett throws a quick inside leg kick.
Hughs throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sackett.
Sackett catches Hughs with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Hughs takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Sackett is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hughs can do to turn this around?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sackett lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Hughs moves out of range of the body kick.
Hughs takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sackett thuds his shin into the meat of Hughs's side.
Hughs misses with a double jab
and Sackett counters with an outside leg kick.
Hughs throws a sloppy head kick and Sackett moves out of range easily.
Sackett swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Sackett thuds a left hand into Hughs's body.
Hughs steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sackett. That one must have hurt.
Hughs has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sackett.
Sackett misses with a leg kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Sackett.
Sackett thuds his shin into the meat of Hughs's side.
Sackett digs a good hook to Hughs's body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sackett throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sackett lands a body shot.
Hughs throws a right and a left that Sackett avoids nicely.
As Hughs backs away, Sackett returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Hughs throws a head kick but Sackett moves out of range.
Sackett lands a nice looking body kick.
Hughs is breathing heavily.
Sackett connects with a body shot.
Sackett throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hughs stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hughs's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Sackett uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hughs.
Sackett throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Sackett cracks a nice hook into Hughs's ribs.
Sackett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hughs takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Sackett fails to land with a series of punches.

Hughs swings away with a body shot that misses
and Sackett counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sackett scores with the left hand. Hughs knows he should have avoided that one.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Sackett. Hughs shrugs it off though.
A punch lands to the side of Hughs 's head but he takes it in his stride.


Hughs is rocked!
Sackett throws a head kick but Hughs moves out of range.
Hughs is still on wobbly legs! Can Sackett finish him?
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hughs.
Sackett scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hughs doesn't seem bothered though.
Hughs has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Sackett.
Sackett cracks a nice hook into Hughs's ribs.
Hughs seems to have recovered his senses.
Hughs with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sackett to score with a decent uppercut.
Hughs takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Sackett looks to throw a body kick
and Hughs counters with a series of strikes. Sackett will be more careful next time no doubt.
Sackett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hughs manages to avoid it.
Sackett throws an overhand right that drops Hughs like a sack of potatoes! Sackett dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
