Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby TupperIII (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Campion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 34 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby TupperIII!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matthew Campion!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
TupperIII misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
TupperIII shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
TupperIII shoots in looking for a takedown but Campion manages to keep the fight standing, pushing TupperIII's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby TupperIII. That's going to take a lot out of him.
TupperIII on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Campion throws a half hearted mid kick.
TupperIII circles away from the clinch attempt.
As Campion backs away, TupperIII returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Bobby TupperIII seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

TupperIII closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

TupperIII is working for a kimura but Campion is defending it quite comfortably.
Campion pushes TupperIII off looking to stand but TupperIII dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Bobby TupperIII has been cut.
TupperIII wants to clinch up but Campion keeps it at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Campion lands a right hook to the body.
Matthew Campion is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Campion gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Campion is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Campion really doesn't want to stay on the ground with TupperIII. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

TupperIII drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Campion manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now TupperIII has Campion in his guard.

TupperIII half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from TupperIII.
Campion throws a shot to the body.
Campion throws a head kick but TupperIII moves out of range.
TupperIII fails with a takedown attempt.
Campion wants to clinch but TupperIII slips to the side
and TupperIII counters with a series of strikes. Campion will be more careful next time no doubt.
Campion stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Campion wants it to stay on the feet.
TupperIII looks for a takedown but Campion sprawls well.
Campion throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
TupperIII shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Campion sprawls well. Campion wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. TupperIII gets slowly back to his feet.
Campion throws a right and a left that both miss.
Campion lands a front kick.
Campion fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. TupperIII looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

TupperIII manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Campion on his heels. He'll look to pass Campion's guard now, I'm sure.

Campion scrambles and gets back to his feet.
TupperIII is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Campion fails with an attempt to clinch.
Campion swings for the body but TupperIII moves out of range.

Campion moves into the clinch.

Campion pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Campion bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
TupperIII blocks a head kick by Campion.
Campion pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Campion checks a low kick from TupperIII.
TupperIII misses with the combination.
TupperIII shoots in for a takedown but Campion shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Campion fails to land with a series of punches.

TupperIII looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Campion wants to stand and escape but TupperIII is having none of it.

TupperIII drops back, looking for a kneebar! Campion looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Campion looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Campion!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

TupperIII closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Campion has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Campion wants to get back to his feet.

TupperIII is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Campion is trying to escape and TupperIII transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Campion is forced to tap! Nice work there by TupperIII! Very nice indeed!
