Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Macahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macahan comes to the cage accompanied by T.N.T.. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lucas Macahan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macahan clinches.

Johnson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Macahan regains guard.

Johnson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Macahan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Johnson has Macahan in his guard.

Macahan prevents Johnson from getting back to his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Macahan rushes Johnson and presses him up against the cage.
Johnson is trying to drag Macahan to the mat but Macahan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Johnson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Macahan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Macahan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Johnson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Macahan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Lucas Macahan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Johnson.
Johnson looks winded!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Macahan is defended easily by Johnson.
Macahan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Macahan as he avoids it easily.
Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Macahan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Macahan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Macahan off to one side.
Macahan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Macahan is looking to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Johnson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Macahan.
Macahan shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Macahan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnson avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Macahan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Johnson has closed the distance and engaged Macahan in a clinch.

Macahan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Johnson has picked Macahan up - he's going for a ride! Johnson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Johnson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Johnson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Johnson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Johnson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Macahan defend it? Johnson steps over the head and cranks it - Macahan is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Johnson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tony Johnson!
A very excited looking Tony Johnson made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated Lucas Macahan had this to say: 'Thank God !'.
