Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Snooze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Pratchett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snooze comes into the arena with Hells Bells blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominick Snooze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luke Pratchett!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Snooze.
Pratchett displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Snooze.
Pratchett tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Snooze misses with a kick to the body

and Pratchett counters with a takedown into side control.
Snooze trying his best to control but Pratchett has mounted him.
Snooze avoids a series of strikes thrown by Pratchett.
Pratchett looking to control but Snooze is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Pratchett goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Snooze is on top in guard.

Snooze knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pratchett on the ground.

Snooze is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Westside Martial Arts that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Snooze wants to control from the top but Pratchett keeps moving.
Pratchett is pulling down on Snooze's head to control his posture.

Snooze won't allow Pratchett to sweep him here.
Snooze looking to sit in guard and control but Pratchett gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pratchett is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Snooze keeping full guard, as Pratchett tries to pass.
Pratchett is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Snooze is looking to sweep but instead, Pratchett has passed into half guard.

Pratchett is working for a submission of some sort.
Pratchett is keen to just control but Snooze is a slippery customer.

Pratchett perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pratchett working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Pratchett thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Snooze's head.

Snooze is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Snooze fails with a takedown attempt.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nice straight punches there by Snooze. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Snooze.

Pratchett shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Snooze is looking to get back to is feet but Pratchett passes into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You can see the frustration on Snooze's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luke Pratchett dominated that round.
That's time! Snooze's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Snooze takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Snooze checks the leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Pratchett.
Snooze stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Pratchett is looking to slow Snooze down with leg kicks.

Snooze moves in looking to clinch but Pratchett pushes him off.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pratchett drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Snooze defends it well.
Pratchett takes a swing at Snooze's ribcage but misses.
Pratchett ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Snooze tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pratchett was well out of range. Poor timing from Snooze.

Snooze throws a hook but Pratchett blocks it.
Pratchett connects with a body shot.
Snooze cracks Pratchett with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Pratchett jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Pratchett displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Snooze throws out the jab.
Snooze misses with an uppercut

and Pratchett decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Snooze's guard.
Snooze tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pratchett wants to control from the top but Snooze keeps moving.
Pratchett forces his way into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pratchett uses his free foot to push down on Snooze's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Snooze.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Pratchett is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Pratchett trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Pratchett controlling the position easily from mount.
Snooze keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Pratchett working for a guillotine from mount but Snooze is in no mood to give up.
Pratchett thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Pratchett with shots to the head and body - Snooze looks very uncomfortable down there.
Pratchett pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Poor strikes thrown by Pratchett there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Luke Pratchett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Snooze sneaks out the side door and pushes Pratchett away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Snooze shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Snooze throws out a loose jab but Pratchett uses good head movement to avoid it.

Snooze misses with an uppercut

so Pratchett counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pratchett sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Snooze's guard.
Luke Pratchett has got the better of the ground game so far.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pratchett thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Snooze's head.
Pratchett moves nicely into side control.

Snooze is looking to regain half guard here but Pratchett keeps moving and retains side control.

Pratchett swings around for an armbar but Snooze sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pratchett's guard.

Pratchett working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Snooze doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Snooze manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pratchett had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Snooze defends it easily.

Pratchett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Luke Pratchett is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Pratchett controls Snooze momentarily but Snooze frees himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pratchett can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Snooze controls the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Dominick Snooze has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jab, jab by Pratchett - just one landing.

Snooze throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dominick Snooze.
I think Pratchett has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
