Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reinaldo Casey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukasz Fankulewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Casey manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fankulewski on his heels. He'll look to pass Fankulewski 's guard now, I'm sure.

Casey gets to his feet - Fankulewski follows without any prompting.

Fankulewski drives through with a takedown into Casey's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fankulewski wants to control from the top but Casey keeps moving.

Casey throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Fankulewski escapes and throws Casey's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Casey tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Casey is trying to get back to his feet but Fankulewski has full control of the position and if anything, Casey has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Casey is trying to shake Fankulewski off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Fankulewski won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.

Casey gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fankulewski to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Casey pushes Fankulewski off and scrambles back to his feet.

Fankulewski closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Casey quickly recovers to half guard.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Fankulewski is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Casey's shoulder. That is not cool.
Casey is not content to let Fankulewski control the position.
Casey misses with a strike from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Fankulewski tries to advance to mount but Casey denies him.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Casey tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Fankulewski presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

That was a close round but I would say that Reinaldo Casey will probably get the nod.

Oh Casey is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Casey has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Fankulewski is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Casey.
