Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zico Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Silva.

Ali lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ali's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ali duly obliges.
Ali shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Silva eats them both and turns towards Ali to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zico Ali.
Well Ali has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
