Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kristoffer Fredholm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kdz Blackmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredholm's entrance music is Drake - Headlines. A fine choice. Kdz Blackmon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kristoffer Fredholm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kdz Blackmon!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fredholm gets a clinch.
Blackmon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Fredholm.

Blackmon tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Blackmon misses with some punches.
Blackmon can't break the clinch.
Blackmon misses with a hook from the clinch.

Blackmon lands a left hand that snaps the head of Fredholm backwards.

Fredholm jumps guard and drags Blackmon to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blackmon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fredholm works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Blackmon postures up in Fredholm's guard and throws a big left but Fredholm blocks it.
Blackmon throws an elbow that misses. Fredholm uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Blackmon's guard. Nice move by Fredholm!

Blackmon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fredholm is one step ahead there.

Fredholm thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Blackmon working a defensive guard but Fredholm manages to pass into side control anyway.
We've been hearing good reports from Fredholm's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Fredholm is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Blackmon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Blackmon takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blackmon can do anything to dispel that myth.
Blackmon avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Fredholm.

Fredholm lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Blackmon down.

Fredholm wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blackmon, who protects the arm well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blackmon parries the strikes from Fredholm easily there. Fredholm is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Blackmon to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fredholm throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Fredholm wants to control but Blackmon is keeping him busy.

Fredholm tries for a kimura but Blackmon is defending well.
Blackmon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fredholm. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fredholm has hold of Blackmon's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Blackmon seems comfortable defending it but Fredholm has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Blackmon is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Blackmon is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Fredholm couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kristoffer Fredholm!
Kristoffer Fredholm gave a mention to Bushido Fightwear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
