The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

John pushes Johns up against the cage in a clinch.
Johns doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
John stalling in the clinch.

John breaks the clinch.
John lands with an overhand left.

It looks like Dante Johns has been cut.
John throws a leg kick which misses Johns's front leg but catches the back leg as Johns tries to avoid it.
Keriss John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johns moves out of range as John strikes.
Johns appears to be looking for a big counter.
John pulls out of a head kick attempt.

John has Johns up against the cage in a clinch.

Johns jumps guard and drags John to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Johns wants to get back to his feet but John is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Johns bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in John's guard.

Johns will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Johns gets to his feet - John follows without any prompting.

John avoids a kick to the body.
John scores with a leg kick.

John rushes Johns and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

John manages to break the clinch.

John closes the distance and clinches.
John throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Johnss head.
John lands with a short head shot on the inside.

John drags the fight down to the ground.

Johns decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
John throws a leg kick that misses.
Johns is looking for a counter combo.
John connects with a looping right hand.
John displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johns.
This has been an exciting period of action!
John feints with a jab and clips Johns right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Johns is sent crashing into the canvas and John leaps in for the kill! Johns tries to get to his feet but John is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Johns is in need of a savior and steps in!
