Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 32 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dennis Oppelaar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quian Kane!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oppelaar fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Oppelaar seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kane stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kane wants it to stay on the feet.
Oppelaar swings widly with a right hand
enabling Kane to counter with a crisp jab.

Kane closes the distance and pushes Oppelaar back into the ropes.
A head punch on the inside from Kane fails to land.
Kane gets through Oppelaar's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kane prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dennis Oppelaar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oppelaar throws an elbow but it misses.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
A shot in the inside from Kane.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kane lands a body shot in the clinch.
Kane pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
Kane misses with a punch to the body.
Kane blocks the elbow strike.
Kane softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
Kane lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kane lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Oppelaar lands a nice elbow.


It looks like Quian Kane has been cut.
Oppelaar content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kane tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Kane scores with a shoulder strike.
Kane trying to stall but Oppelaar improves his position.
Oppelaar avoids a wild elbow strike from Kane.
Oppelaar misses with a punch on the inside.
Kane stalling in the clinch but Oppelaar improves position.
Oppelaar has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kane after a bit of a struggle.
Oppelaar blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Kane.
Oppelaar lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Kane.
Oppelaar misses with a knee to the head.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Oppelaar lands an elbow just above Kane 's eye.
Oppelaar takes a shot to the head.
Oppelaar is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kane is keeping busy.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Oppelaar just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kane's brow.
Oppelaar swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kane misses with a shot to the kidneys.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oppelaar blocks an elbow strike from Kane.
Kane makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Oppelaar pushes off an throws an elbow but Kane leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
Kane lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Kane working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Kane lands with a short shot to the head.
Oppelaar lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Kane gets through Oppelaar's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kane creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Oppelaar's defenses.


It looks like Dennis Oppelaar has been cut.
Kane throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Oppelaars head.
Kane lands a right hand that snaps the head of Oppelaar backwards.
Oppelaar lands an elbow inside that Kane shrugs off.
Kane lands with a right to the head.
Kane looking to stall.
Oppelaar is looking for a takedown.
Kane scores with a nice hook to the head.


Oppelaar is rocked!
Kane is pressed up against the ropes. Oppelaar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kane down to the mat. Kane avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Oh Oppelaar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oppelaar misses with a hook
and Kane counters with a nice leg kick.
Kane takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kane fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Oppelaar to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Oppelaar looks to clinch but Kane throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Oppelaar taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Quian Kane!
Quian Kane is the new super heavyweight champion!
During a confident post fight interview, Quian Kane thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
