Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tal Gator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernandez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Eagles - Hotel Calafornia. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gator is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fernandez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gator looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fernandez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gator.

Gator gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fernandez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gator looking for a sweep. Not yet Gator, not yet.
Fernandez is working Gator over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fernandez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
