PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kimbo Spice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Spice might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Grayson Sanders – Beautiful Crime . Lee has chosen Von Thronstahl - Dressed in black uniforms as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws a combination that misses

and Spice counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lee won't be happy with that.
Lee tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Lee is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Spice looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lee defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Spice.

You get the feeling that Lee really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Spice looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Spice wants to finish this one by submission but Lee is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Spice.
Lee really wants to buck Spice off and get back to his feet.

Spice looking for a guillotine from mount but Lee is having none of it.
Lee is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Spice working for a submission but Lee is keeping him at bay.

Spice is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lee is surviving well by controlling Spice's body position as best he can.

Spice is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lee has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lee!

Spice slips nicely into half guard.
Spice passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lee!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lee wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Spice is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lee is surviving well by controlling Spice's body position as best he can.
Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lee tries to buck Spice off so he can stand up but Spice has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Lee falls backwards, slamming Spice to the mat but Spice holds on tight! Lee is forced to tap and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kimbo Spice!
After the fight, Kimbo Spice was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Bruce Lee was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back stronger than ever!'.
