The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Watch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Clifford was well out of range. Poor timing from Watch.
Clifford dives in for a single leg takedown but Watch sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Watch instigates a clinch.
Watch has a couple of punches blocked by Clifford .
Watch tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Watch swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Watch doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Watch misses with a punch to the body.
Clifford looking for a takedown.

Clifford breaks from the clinch.
Watch lands a nice hook to Clifford 's body. Clifford takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Watch misses the shot to the body.
Watch lands a jab to the head.

Clifford moves into range and clinches up with Watch.
Watch tries to throw a body punch but Clifford avoids it by throwing Watch back against the cage.
Clifford wants to take the fight to the mat but Watch manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Leonardo Watch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of AJ Clifford .
Watch misses with a body punch.

Watch lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Watch lands a nice uppercut.
Watch lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Clifford breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Clifford walks straight into a right hand from Watch - that's dropped him! Watch jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Clifford from any more punishment! Clifford complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
