Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andre Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Dover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nguyen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dover was covering up waiting for the punch and Nguyen finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Nguyen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dover is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dover has escaped and now he's on top!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dover content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Dover is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nguyen has managed to free his arm - good work.
Ben Dover has got the better of the ground game so far.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Nguyen has closed the distance and engaged Dover in a clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dover stands and steps away. Nguyen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Dover is breathing heavily.
Nguyen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dover as he jumps to the side.

Dover feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dover is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Nguyen has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dover is looking to defend but Nguyen has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dover! Nguyen pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dover taps out and this one is all over!
