The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Byczynski.
Akiyama is looking to slow Byczynski down with leg kicks.
Akiyama throws a body punch but Byczynski moves out of range.
Akiyama lands a left and a right that send Byczynski crashing to the mat, dazed. Akiyama thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Nataniel Byczynski has been cut.
Akiyama throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Akiyama jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Byczynski walks away with a smile on his face. Akiyama gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Oooooh!!! Akiyama has knocked Byczynski down with a huge combo! Akiyama steps away and waves a wobbly Byczynski back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Byczynski moves into range and connects with a jab.

Byczynski closes the distance and clinches up with Akiyama, looking for a takedown. Byczynski pushes Akiyama against the ropes but Akiyama circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Akiyama rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Byczynski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Akiyama throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Akiyama takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Byczynski can't find room to land a body shot as Akiyama controls the action.
