Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Project Joshua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doc Dykstra!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joshua ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dykstra moves away.
Dykstra takes one to the side of the head.
Joshua takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Dykstra lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Joshua at a distance.
Dykstra sends Joshua crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Dykstra is motioning to the referee to let Joshua up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Project Joshua has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Joshua throws an overhand right that lands on Dykstra's shoulder, as Dykstra tries to avoid the shot.
Dykstra misses with a left hand
and Joshua counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That kick from Dykstra tenderised Joshua's leg. Joshua is trying to keep his angry face on.
Joshua has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Dykstra.
Joshua misses with a wild body shot.
Joshua moves out of range of the leg kick from Dykstra.
Dykstra cracks Joshua with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Dykstra has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Joshua to stand back up!
Joshua is rocked!
Dykstra lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Joshua head around and knocks him out cold! Dykstra hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Doc Dykstra!
Doc Dykstra seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
