Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toshi Matoshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matoshin comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat theme. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Toshi Matoshin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Spencer!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Spencer there as he acknowledges the shot.
Matoshin seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Spencer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Spencer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Matoshin as he avoids it easily.
Matoshin lands with a shot to the body.
Matoshin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Matoshin connects with a single shot there.


It looks like Joe Spencer has been cut.
Matoshin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Matoshin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Spencer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Spencer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Matoshin sprawls well. Matoshin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Spencer gets slowly back to his feet.

and Matoshin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

A looping hook to the body misses from Matoshin. Spencer does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Matoshin counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Toshi Matoshin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Spencer.

A nice right hand lands inside from Matoshin.

Spencer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Spencer throws a hook to the side of Matoshin's head but Matoshin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Spencer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Matoshin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Matoshin has momentary wrist control but Spencer slips an elbow through the middle.
