Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Waylon Mccoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Waylon Mccoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson has closed the distance and engaged Mccoy in a clinch.
Anderson keeps control of Mccoy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Anderson tries to pull guard but Mccoy won't allow it.
Anderson wants to take the fight to the mat but Mccoy manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Anderson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Mccoy's elbow.
Mccoy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Anderson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Anderson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mccoy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Anderson somewhat.
Mccoy is looking for a counter combo.
Waylon Mccoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Anderson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches.
Mccoy can't break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mccoy manages to break the clinch.
Mccoy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mccoy tries to close the distance and clinch but Anderson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And Anderson tries to counter it with a takedown but Mccoy pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Anderson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mccoy seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Mccoy sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mccoy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Anderson - the referee stops the clock and Mccoy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Anderson. Mccoy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Mccoy tries to clinch up
and Anderson counters with a one-two to the body.

Mccoy closes the distance and pushes Anderson back into the cage.
Mccoy has had enough of the clinch but Anderson keeps him there for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mccoy tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Anderson avoids it.
Mccoy takes a shot to the head.

Anderson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Some wild striking there from Anderson.
Mccoy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Anderson avoids it really well and circles away.
Anderson tests Mccoy's chin there with a solid looking shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Anderson.
Mccoy seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Mccoy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Anderson moves into range and clinches up with Mccoy.
Mccoy wants to break free but Anderson has control.
Mccoy is trying to pull guard but Anderson has him pressed against the cage.
Anderson trying to land knees to the body.

Anderson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Anderson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Anderson pushes Mccoy up against the cage in a clinch.
Anderson tries to pull guard but Mccoy forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Mccoy's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Mccoy stalling in the clinch.
Anderson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mccoy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mccoy misses with a body shot.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mccoy dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Anderson tries to pull guard but Mccoy won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Richard Anderson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Anderson shoots in for a double leg but Mccoy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
An attempted straight right counter from Mccoy misses the target.
Mccoy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Waylon Mccoy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mccoy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Anderson.
Anderson keeps the fight on the outside.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Anderson.

Mccoy has Anderson up against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anderson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mccoy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Anderson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mccoy gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Waylon Mccoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Anderson.
Mccoy wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Mccoy pulls guard successfully.
Mccoy is looking to stand up but Anderson isn't so interested in that idea.
Mccoy trying to keep a closed guard but Anderson is proving a slippery customer.
Mccoy wants to stand and escape but Anderson is having none of it.
Mccoy is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mccoy pulls Anderson in close to prevent any damage.
Mccoy continues to stall.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mccoy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Anderson wants to control from the top but Mccoy keeps moving.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Anderson gets caught flat footed, as Mccoy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mccoy is standing up over Anderson. Anderson looks to escape but Mccoy dives into side control.

You can see the frustration on Anderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Anderson is breathing heavily.
Mccoy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anderson keeps working.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mccoy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Anderson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mccoy landing a few strikes.

Mccoy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Anderson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mccoy throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Anderson works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Anderson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mccoy.
Anderson wants to get back to his feet.
Anderson trying to control from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Mccoy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Anderson sees it coming and defends easily.

Mccoy is trying to work for a kimura but Anderson is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Waylon Mccoy dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Mccoy closes the distance and clinches.
Mccoy is trying to force a seperation but Anderson has the dominant position.
Anderson controlling the action here for a moment.
Anderson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mccoy walks away with a smile on his face. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mccoy gets a double leg takedown into Anderson's guard.

Anderson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Mccoy has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mccoy fails to pull guard.
Mccoy slows down the pace here.
Mccoy goes for a takedown attempt but Anderson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Mccoy gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Anderson is looking to take this one to the mat.
Anderson displaying some good clinch control by pressing Mccoy up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Anderson misses with a body punch.
Mccoy fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Waylon Mccoy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mccoy misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Anderson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mccoy just stands there and leans against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Mccoy's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Anderson is trying to pull guard but Mccoy turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Anderson manages to break the clinch.
Mccoy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Anderson is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches.
Anderson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mccoy smiles and moves away.
Anderson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Mccoy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Anderson misses with a takedown attempt - Mccoy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mccoy throws a big counter combination but Anderson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Anderson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck for Anderson with that takedown attempt.
Anderson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mccoy appears to be looking for a big counter.
Anderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mccoy avoids it really well and circles away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Mccoy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Waylon Mccoy.
I think Mccoy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
