Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Boyko Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Price comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Black Label Society - Bleed for Me kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dan Price has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boyko Kersikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Price!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kersikov throws a low kick but Price avoids it.
It seemed like Price was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Price misses with a hook. Kersikov ducked under it nicely.
Kersikov is looking to counter the offense by Price and move into the clinch.
Kersikov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Price defends it nicely.

A decent looking cross lands there for Kersikov.
Kersikov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Price has time to react.

We've been informed that Price has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Kersikov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kersikov connects with a leg kick. Price looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Price crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kersikov - the referee stops the clock and Price gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kersikov. Price manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Kersikov tried to counter with a leg kick but Price avoided it.

Price's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Kersikov avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Price might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Kersikov has got the better of the exchanges.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kersikov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Price has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Price and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Dan Price has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boyko Kersikov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Kersikov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kersikov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Price tries to get to full guard but Kersikov has control of the leg.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kersikov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
