Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Laverne Mazzola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Vick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mazzola comes into the arena with Il Canto Degli Italiani blaring out of the sound system. Vick has chosen 5 Am In Toronto as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

letting Vick counter with a right hand.
Vick changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mazzola tries to avoid it but Vick manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mazzola to the ground. Mazzola escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mazzola makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

A close round but Gray Vick will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mazzola throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vick was covering up waiting for the punch and Mazzola finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Vick bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mazzola's guard.
