Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hong Pate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm Dunkeld (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hong Pate has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Malcolm Dunkeld!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pate throws a half hearted mid kick.

Dunkeld closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pate to the mat! Pate manages to get full guard.
Dunkeld is fighting to break Pate's control of his arms but Pate is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Dunkeld has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pate is proving hard to escape from.
Dunkeld is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pate is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Dunkeld won't allow Pate to get back to his feet.

Dunkeld shoots in and gets a takedown into Pate's guard.
Dunkeld is looking to stand up but Pate won't let him.

Pate throws a leg kick that is checked
and Dunkeld finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Dunkeld avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Dunkeld just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromPate.
Pate misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dunkeld wants to clinch up but Pate keeps it at a distance.

Dunkeld closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pate did well to prevent Dunkeld getting side control.

Pate has one foot on Dunkeld's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dunkeld misses with a punch on the inside.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pate prevents Dunkeld from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pate thows a huge punch but Dunkeld dodges it nicely.

Dunkeld kicks Pate off and gets back to his feet.

Dunkeld tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pate swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pate tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dunkeld defends well and Pate ends up having to push Dunkeld into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

As Dunkeld tries to get set, Pate tries to push him back and clinch up but Dunkeld manages to avoid the attempt.

Pate gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dunkeld to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Pate is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dunkeld is controlling him well.

Pate changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dunkeld tries to avoid it but Pate manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dunkeld to the ground. Dunkeld escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pate avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Dunkeld tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Pate.
Pate is positioning himself well to prevent Dunkeld advancing to mount.

Dunkeld fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pate sprawls well initially but Dunkeld persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Pate has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Dunkeld is on him like a limpet, forcing Pate back against the cage.
