Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neil Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Danielson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Neil Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leon Danielson!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danielson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jenkins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Danielson somewhat.
Jenkins was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Jenkins darts in looking for a takedown but Danielson gets double underhooks and turns Jenkins into the cage.
Danielson throws a lazy right hand but Jenkins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Danielson rushes Jenkins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Danielson prevents Jenkins from breaking the clinch.

Danielson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jenkins fails with a takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Danielson! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Danielson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jenkins.

Danielson darts in and clinches Jenkins up against the cage.

Danielson manages to break the clinch.
Jenkins misses with a wild combination.
Danielson looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Danielson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jenkins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jenkins went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Danielson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Jenkins gets a clinch.

Nice takedown defense from Jenkins. No joy for Danielson on that attempt.

Danielson scores with a knee to the head.
Jenkins is trying to pull guard but Danielson has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Neil Jenkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Danielson manages to break the clinch.

Jenkins drives through and clinches with Danielson against the cage.

Danielson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jenkins uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Danielson.
Jenkins is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Danielson keeps the fight on the outside.
Jenkins dives in for a single leg takedown but Danielson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Despite the aggression on Danielson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Danielson rushes Jenkins and presses him up against the cage.
Jenkins tries to circle away but Danielson has him pinned against the cage.

Danielson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jenkins bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nice takedown defense from Danielson. No joy for Jenkins on that attempt.
Jenkins avoids the head kick by Danielson.
Danielson lands with a right hand.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jenkins or perhaps it was just good defense by Danielson, which made it look bad.
Danielson throws a head kick that misses.
Jenkins dives in for a single leg takedown but Danielson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Danielson misses with a series of wild punches.

Danielson pushes Jenkins up against the cage in a clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Jenkins throws an elbow but misses.

Danielson breaks the clinch.
Jenkins stuffs the takedown.

Danielson closes the distance and clinches.
Jenkins's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Jenkins slows down the pace here.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Jenkins for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Danielson tries a knee to the head but Jenkins blocks it.

Danielson avoiding damage as Jenkins throws knees to the body.
Jenkins is looking to break free of the clinch but Danielson has double underhooks.
Danielson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jenkins's efforts to push away.
Danielson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jenkins backwards.
Jenkins looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Jenkins tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Danielson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jenkins changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Danielson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Danielson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jenkins tries to clinch but Danielson moves out of range.
Danielson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leon Danielson dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Danielson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Danielson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Danielson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Danielson trying to land knees to the body.
Danielson lands a nice uppercut.

Danielson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jenkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Danielson tries to avoid it but Jenkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Danielson to the ground. Danielson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jenkins shoots in looking for a takedown but Danielson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jenkins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenkins lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Danielson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Jenkins if he has to take too many more of those.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Danielson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Danielson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Danielson lands a big head kick that sends Jenkins tumbling to the mat! Danielson takes a step backwards and waves Jenkins back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Jenkins is rocked!


It looks like Neil Jenkins has been cut.
Jenkins is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Danielson doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Jenkins crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Jenkins's bad books for that mishap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Leon Danielson!
Leon Danielson made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'These hammers fell, and your face just happened to be my anvil. Better luck next time.'.
