Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edwardo Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Slone!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Slone misses
and Burns counters with a right hand to the body.
Slone throws a right hand that Burns ducks under and follows up with a left that Burns also avoids with ease.
Slone doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Burns counter with a right hand.
Slone throws a series of punches but Burns avoids them all with ease.
As Slone backs away, Burns returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Slone shoots in looking for a takedown. Burns tries to sprawl out of it but Slone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burns manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Slone throws a head kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chad Slone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burns circles away quickly and effectively.
Slone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burns's waist but Burns gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Slone off to one side.

Burns breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Slone throws a right and a left that Burns avoids nicely.

Burns keeps control of Slone as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Slone will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Edwardo Burns.
