Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul McCracken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Homer Simpson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCracken misses with a leg kick

and Simpson counters with a single leg into guard. McCracken didn't expect that.
Simpson is fighting to break McCracken's control of his arms but McCracken is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Simpson preventing the sweep.
Simpson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McCracken's guard.
Simpson passes into side control, despite McCracken's attempt to control the position.
Simpson wants to control but McCracken is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Simpson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McCracken is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
An elbow from Simpson crashes against the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Simpson trying to control the position but McCracken is working away.

Simpson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McCracken, who protects the arm well.
Simpson wants to control but McCracken is keeping him busy.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Simpson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
McCracken on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McCracken tries to get out of the position.
Simpson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McCracken is trying to escape the position but Simpson is controlling the position.
Simpson throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Simpson is looking to take a break and control but McCracken is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
McCracken knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Simpson on the ground.
Simpson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McCracken is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
McCracken is looking for a sweep.
McCracken seems a little lost for a moment, as Simpson dominates the positioning.

Simpson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Simpson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Simpson advances to full mount.
McCracken tries to lock up and control but Simpson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Simpson tries to control but McCracken wriggling away.

Simpson wants to finish this one by submission but McCracken is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Simpson.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McCracken wants to hold on but Simpson pushes him away.
Simpson controlling from the full mount.
McCracken slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Simpson moves into full mount! McCracken won't be happy about that!
Simpson scoring with strikes but McCracken is staying in there.

Simpson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. McCracken turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Simpson off and cradles McCracken's limp body as Simpson celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Homer Simpson!
Homer Simpson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
