Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hyman Serrano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deandre Layne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyman Serrano had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hyman Serrano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deandre Layne!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Layne drives through with a takedown into Serrano's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Serrano has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Layne off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Layne throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Serrano was covering up waiting for the punch and Layne finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Layne might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Serrano haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Serrano bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Layne's guard.

Layne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Serrano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
