Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aleks Breznhev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sol Dier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Breznhev kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Death Grips - No Love (Instrumental) . Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aleks Breznhev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sol Dier!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dier bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dier throws a lazy right hand but Breznhev sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Breznhev drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dier sprawls and moves away.
Breznhev misses the shot to the body.
Dier looks to score with a jab to the body but Breznhev is just out of range.
Dier throws a shot from downtown. Breznhev moves away and avoids it.
Sol Dier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A swing and a miss from Dier.
A slow jab from Breznhev misses its intended target.
Dier throws an off balance right hand

and Breznhev counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dier won't be happy with that.
A lull in the action here.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Dier pushes Breznhev away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Breznhev gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Dier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Breznhev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

We've been hearing good reports from Breznhev's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Dier rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Breznhev moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Breznhev, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
