The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lemaitre throws out a loose jab but Ferreira uses good head movement to avoid it.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lemaitre has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lemaitre and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lemaitre accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lemaitre has a hand on Ferreira's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Ferreira takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

That was a close round but I would say that Marco Ferreira will probably get the nod.

Ferreira closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Lemaitre! Ferreira dives in looking to finish! Lemaitre is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
