The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Geraldo Sweeney has been cut.

Vladimirovich works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Vladimirovich throws a big elbow that misses.
Sweeney preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Sweeney bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vladimirovich's guard.

Sweeney has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sweeney postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Vladimirovich clinches up against the cage.
Sweeney wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sweeney is looking to take this one to the mat.

Vladimirovich connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sweeney some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vladimirovich creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sweeney sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Vladimirovich cracks Sweeney with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Vladimirovich immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Sweeney is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Vladimirovich!
