Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tooza Bruza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Myles Newell!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruza tries a head kick but it misses.
Bruza tries to close the distance and clinch but Newell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Newell feints and then cracks Bruza's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bruza down.
Newell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bruza.
Bruza slips a straight right by Newell.
Newell misses with an uppercut.
Bruza throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The fighters circle momentarily. Newell darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Newell misses with a lunging right hand
and Bruza counters with a stiff right hand.

Newell tries to keep at a distance but Bruza has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bruza throws an elbow but it misses.
Bruza pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Bruza lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Newell blocks the elbow strike.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Newell drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bruza gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bruza stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Newell.
Newell fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bruza misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bruza lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Newell misses with a low kick.
Bruza ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Newell shoots in and drives through. Bruza sprawls well.
Newell looks to land a body kick but Bruza moved away.
Newell tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bruza defends well and Newell ends up having to push Bruza into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Tooza Bruza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Myles Newell.

Newell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Bruza is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Newell asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Newell looks up at the clock and then as Bruza takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Newell smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Newell lands a few punches from side control.
Bruza tries to buck Newell off but Newell is having none of it.

Newell is putting a hurting on Bruza here, landing some big shots from side control.
Oh Bruza is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Newell is looking to take a break and control but Bruza is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bruza wants to get back to his feet but Newell drags him back down.
Newell cracks Bruza with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Newell immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Bruza is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Newell!
