PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Wibowo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cameron MacGruffyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacGruffyd fails with an attempt to clinch.
MacGruffyd wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

MacGruffyd closes the distance and pushes Wibowo back into the cage.
Wibowo drops down looking for an ankle pick but MacGruffyd pulls his leg out and moves away.

Wibowo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in MacGruffyd's half guard.
Wibowo works his way into side control.

Wibowo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
MacGruffyd is not content to let Wibowo control the position.

We've been hearing that Wibowo has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Wibowo tries to move to mount but MacGruffyd blocks the move with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wibowo creates some space and throws a big elbow, but MacGruffyd sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Wibowo has hold of MacGruffyd's arm. He's looking for a kimura. MacGruffyd seems comfortable defending it but Wibowo has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! MacGruffyd is real pain and he's forced to tap out! MacGruffyd is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Wibowo couldn't care less - he's delighted!
