Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Lowe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sergio Sainz!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sainz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lowe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Danny Lowe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lowe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sainz as he avoids it easily.
Lowe has a takedown stuffed.
No luck for Sainz with that takedown attempt.

Lowe moves into the clinch.
Lowe controlling the action here for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lowe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sainz gets tackled into the cage by Lowe. Lowe maintains the clinch.
Sainz is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lowe gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Danny Lowe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergio Sainz.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sainz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Lowe is defending well.
Lowe scores a nice knee to the body.

Lowe decides to pull guard.

Lowe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sainz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sainz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lowe throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Sainz works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Sainz is looking to advance position but Lowe won't allow it.
Sainz keeps trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sainz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sainz tries to pass to full mount but Lowe defends it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lowe tries to roll over but Sainz keeps him under control.
Lowe is concentrating on defense, preventing Sainz from advancing position.
Sainz tries to pass to full mount but Lowe defends it.

Sainz has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Lowe defend it? Sainz steps over the head and cranks it - Lowe is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sainz!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sergio Sainz!
A relieved looking Sergio Sainz thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
