Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary Halftard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Andrei Gonzales was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Halftard counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Andrei Gonzales has been cut.
Gonzales misses with a body punch
and Halftard counters with a straight right hand.
Gonzales has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gonzales changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Halftard tries to avoid it but Gonzales manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Halftard to the ground. Halftard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gary Halftard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrei Gonzales.

Gonzales feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
