Halen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Castillo wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Castillo gets tackled into the cage by Halen. Halen maintains the clinch.

Castillo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Halen uses from the top position.

Halen drops back looking for a leg! Castillo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Castillo manages to kick Halen off! Halen jumps back into Castillo's guard.

Castillo is defending against the submission attempts here by Halen.
Castillo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Castillo wants to control but Halen is keeping busy.

Halen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Castillo defends it well.

Halen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Halen scores with a big shot! Castillo's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Castillo! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
