The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maia rushes Snow and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Snow wants to take the fight to the mat but Maia manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Maia lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Brian Snow has been cut.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Maia.
Maia gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Maia works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Snow tries to score a body lock takedown but Maia shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Snow has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Maia after a bit of a struggle.

Maia is pressed up against the cage. Snow has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Maia down to the mat. Maia avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The cut above Brian Snow's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Brian Snow's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brian Snow's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
