Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hipolito Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hipolito Davidson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonathan Walker!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davidson instigates a clinch.

Davidson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Walker scores with a takedown into Davidson's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker tries to stand but Davidson is controlling from the bottom.
Davidson is looking to stand up but Walker isn't so interested in that idea.

Walker is pushing down on Davidson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Davidson is fighting to maintain full guard but Walker has managed to sneak the leg through.
Walker is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Hipolito Davidson has been cut.
Davidson is looking to improve his position.

Walker seems to be working for a kimura but Davidson defends the submission attempt.
Davidson is looking to escape.

Davidson tries to roll over but Walker keeps him under control.
Davidson is trying to stand.
Walker wants to pass the guard but Davidson is defending well.
Walker controlling the action here.
Walker looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Davidson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walker on the ground.
It looks like Walker is going to stand back up.
Davidson is trying to stand up here but Walker is controlling him well.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Davidson tries to roll over but Walker keeps him under control.
Davidson throws a strike from the bottom but Walker passes into side control!
Davidson is trying to work for a sweep but Walker has mounted him!

Walker stands up from mount. Strange move.
Walker circles away from the clinch attempt

and Walker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Davidson's guard.
Davidson is looking to stand back up but Walker counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Davidson.

Davidson wants to improve his position but Walker is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davidson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Walker jumps into side control!

Walker moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davidson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Walker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Davidson regains half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Walker working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Davidson moves into full guard.
Davidson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jonathan Walker dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Hipolito Davidson's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Davidson moves into range and clinches up with Walker.
Walker keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Davidson's efforts to push away.
Davidson tries to break free but Walker pushes him back against the cage.
Davidson is trying to break the clinch but Walker has him pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Davidson's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Walker gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Davidson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Davidson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Walker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Davidson is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davidson wants to stand up but Walker is controlling him.
Davidson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walker is one step ahead there.
Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Davidson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Davidson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Davidson lands a decent punch to the body there.
Walker slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Davidson.
Walker performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Davidson tries to roll over but Walker keeps him under control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Davidson wants to get back to full guard but Walker has mounted him!
Davidson tries to reverse the position but Walker maintains control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Walker is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Davidson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Davidson.
Davidson tries to clinch but Walker moves away

so Walker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Davidson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Walker dives into side control.
Walker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.


Walker is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Davidson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Walker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Davidson, who protects the arm well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davidson bucks up and tries to throw Walker off but instead Walker has got his back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Walker is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Davidson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Walker controlling well, preventing Davidson from escaping the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Davidson has hold of Walker's leg, trying to break free but it's let Walker lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Davidson is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Walker throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
