The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khitriy has managed to clinch.
Khitriy lands with a short shot to the head.
George is looking to take this one to the mat.
Khitriy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Khitriy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Khitriy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck George on the side of the head.
Khitriy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

George could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

and George counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by George.

Khitriy tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
George blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
George is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kirk George. That's going to take a lot out of him.
George swings wildly with an uppercut but Khitriy uses good head movement to avoid it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Khitriy is pressed up against the cage. George has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Khitriy down to the mat. Khitriy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
George doesn't manage to clinch there - Khitriy circles away.
Khitriy lands a head shot.
Khitriy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
George throws a sloppy head kick and Khitriy moves out of range easily.
Khitriy changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Maksim Khitriy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good standup being displayed there by Khitriy as he connects with a hook.
Khitriy closes the distance and clinches.
George successfully pulls guard.
Khitriy wants to control from the top but George keeps moving.

George pulls Khitriy in close to prevent any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
George utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now George is on top in guard.

Khitriy uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Khitriy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by George.
Khitriy scores with a nice head shot.
Khitriy darts in and clinches George up against the cage.
Khitriy makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A shot in the inside from Khitriy.
Khitriy lands a shoulder strike.
Khitriy is trying to break the clinch but George is controlling him.
Khitriy tries to break free but George pushes him back against the cage.
George fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Khitriy lands with a short shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maksim Khitriy dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
George tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Khitriy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Khitriy lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kirk George is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
George wants to clinch.
George avoids a punch combination nicely.
Khitriy's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Khitriy duly obliges.
George is rocked!
Khitriy darts in and clinches George up against the cage.
Oh George is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Khitriy lands a right hand that snaps the head of George backwards.
Khitriy lands with a left to the head.
Khitriy creates a bit of space for himself and rocks George with a big uppercut! George tries to clinch up but Khitriy pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples George to the mat! George covers up and Khitriy unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Maksim Khitriy!
