Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Morris Marquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiago Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tiago Nunes was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nunes shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Marquez manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Nunes trying to control the position from guard on top but Marquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nunes slips nicely into half guard.
Marquez moves into full guard.
Marquez is trying to keep Nunes in close.
Marquez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nunes on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nunes wants to pass the guard but Marquez is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nunes keeps trying to improve his position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Nunes drops back looking for a leg! Marquez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Marquez manages to kick Nunes off! Nunes jumps back into Marquez's guard.

Marquez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nunes slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Nunes has an Americana. Marquez didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Nunes is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Nunes hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
