The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vitalli misses with a low kick.
Severn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vitalli moves away.
Vitalli tried to counter with a leg kick but Severn avoided it.
Severn moves out of range of the leg kick from Vitalli.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Severn. Vitalli shrugs it off though.
Vitalli stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A head kick misses from Vitalli.
Severn is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Severn tries to clinch up.
Severn throws a jab when Vitalli was well out of range.
Vitalli throws a body punch but Severn moves out of range.

Vitalli tries to land a leg kick but Severn saw it coming and moves away.
Vitalli steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Severn.

Vitalli definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Severn changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Vitalli fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Severn misses with a punch on the inside.
Vitalli tries to throw a body punch but Severn avoids it by throwing Vitalli back against the cage.
Severn is looking to control Vitalli's arms but Vitalli gets an underhook and turns him. Now Severn has his back to the cage.
Severn blocks an uppercut.
Severn tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Vitalli blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Severn gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vitalli is looking to control Severn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vitalli avoid being mounted?
Severn lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Severn wants to free his trapped foot but Vitalli is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Severn is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vitalli wants to get back to full guard.
Severn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vitalli's head.
Severn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vitalli knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Vitalli wants to control but Severn is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Vitalli is refusing to be controlled, as Severn sits in half guard.
Severn is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Vitalli!

Severn in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Severn postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Vitalli in real trouble here! The ref calls for Vitalli to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Jumping up and down and very excited, Chris Severn waved his t-shirt featuring Hellbent 's logo in front of the cameras.
