Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jay Kush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Samuel David!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush throws a nice looking combination but David bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Samuel David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

David drives through with a takedown into guard.
David controlling from the top position.

David gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kush misses with a right hand

and David counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
David looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kush wants to get back to his feet.

David stalling.
Kush has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Kush kicks off David and gets to his feet.
Kush tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but David was well out of range. Poor timing from Kush.
Kush digs a good hook to David's body.
Kush misses with a few strikes there.
David let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Kush comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

David takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kush lands a big right hand that sends David crashing to the mat! Kush stays standing though and waves David back to his feet!


David is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kush lands a right hook to the body.
David is still on wobbly legs! Can Kush finish him?

Kush cracks David with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! David looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kush finish him?
David walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Kush swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jay Kush!
Jay Kush decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
