Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keola Fatu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfredo Sausalito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fatu throws a body shot but no joy.

Sausalito tries to sprawl but Fatu drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Fatu lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Fatu is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sausalito is just riding it out for now. Fatu eventually gives up the hold.
Sausalito looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fatu is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Fatu seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Fatu is working for a kimura but Sausalito is defending it quite comfortably.

Sausalito is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fatu scores with a couple of nice shots.
Fatu is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Sausalito really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fatu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sausalito is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fatu connects with a nice short shot to Sausalito's temple.

Fatu looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sausalito with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fatu is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fatu seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sausalito can do anything to dispel that myth.
Well, if Fatu is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Fatu wants to work for an arm triangle but Sausalito is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Still in half guard, Fatu seems content to control.
Fatu working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Sausalito has hold of Fatu's hands but Fatu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sausalito checks a leg kick.
A countering left hand to the body from Sausalito misses.
Sausalito misses with a looping left.

and Fatu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sausalito thinking.

Fatu closes the distance and pushes Sausalito back into the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Fatu takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Fatu lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Sausalito tries to work over Fatu's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Sausalito is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Fatu stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Fatu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sausalito can do to turn this around?

Fatu has picked Sausalito up - he's going for a ride! Fatu dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Fatu has an Americana. Sausalito didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Fatu is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Fatu hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Keola Fatu!
Keola Fatu decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
