The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rakija with a hook.
Basilicus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rakija.
Rakija takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rakija lands with a right hand.
Basilicus avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Rakija thuds a left hand into Basilicus's body.
Rakija bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Basilicus's head backwards.
Riza Rakija seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Basilicus throws a leg kick which misses Rakija's front leg but catches the back leg as Rakija tries to avoid it.
Basilicus scores with a leg kick.
Rakija tries to clinch up.
Basilicus is trying to counter with his kicks.
Rakija with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rakija, as that shot connected.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A slapping leg kick lands for Basilicus.
A bone on bone clash there as Rakija blocks the leg kick.
Basilicus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rakija.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Basilicus.

Rakija avoids a kick to the body.
Basilicus moves to clinch but Rakija breaks away
and Rakija counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rakija lands a lovely overhand right.
Rakija blocks the body kick.
Rakija turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rakija paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Basilicus is rocked!

Rakija closes the distance and clinches.
Basilicus is still on wobbly legs! Can Rakija finish him?
Basilicus misses with some punches.
Rakija lands with a left to the head.
Rakija lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Basilicus misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rakija.
Rakija scores with a shot to the side of Basilicus's head.
Rakija creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Basilicus! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Rakija.
