PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eldridge Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ak King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eldridge Simon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, ak King!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King thows a body kick. Simon tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Simon is breathing heavily.
King throws a right and a left that both miss.

King fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Simon, pushing him back against the cage.
Simon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
King tries to land a knee to the head but Simon blocks with his arms.
King drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Simon gets the underhooks and prevents it.
King lands on the inside with an uppercut.

King has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Simon regains guard immediately.
King advances position into side control!
King creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

It looks like Eldridge Simon has been cut.
Simon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.

King is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Simon is trying to escape and King transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Simon is forced to tap! Nice work there by King! Very nice indeed!
