Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AJ Sampz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kirk Hale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, AJ Sampz!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sampz drives through and clinches with Hale against the cage.
Sampz taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Sampz working hard to break the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hale takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Sampz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Hale tries to keep at a distance but Sampz has taken the fight into the clinch.

Sampz pulls guard effortlessly.
Hale might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hale cracks Sampz with a solid left hand.
Hale makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Sampz wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Hale is now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sampz is trying to control but Hale passes into side control!

Hale decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sampz to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sampz scores with a head kick.
Hale fails to land the takedown.

Hale gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hale is controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sampz trying to control but Hale postures up.

Hale decides to return to a standing position.
Sampz scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Hale is rocked!
Hale is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Sampz Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Hale is out cold, face down on the mat!
