Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christian Mckee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mr Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Christian Mckee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, mr Man!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mckee enables Man to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mckee manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mckee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Man is one step ahead there.
Man keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mckee's head.
Mckee throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Man stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mckee swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mckee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Man controls the pace.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Mckee avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Mckee keeping moving, preventing Man from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man being controlled here momentarily.
Man slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Mckee is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Man trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Man is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Man fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mckee sprawls well initially but Man persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Man slips a nice elbow through Mckee's hands, connecting with Mckee's forehead.
Mckee is looking to control Man's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mckee avoid being mounted?
Man lands with a punch from half guard.


It looks like Christian Mckee has been cut.

Mckee actively working from the bottom here.
Man working over Mckee with some ground and pound. Mckee looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Mckee tries to get to full guard but Man has control of the leg.
Man seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Man keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Man not landing any meaningful shots this time.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Man is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Man's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Mckee could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Man trying to control the action but Mckee is working from the bottom.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Man stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Man wants it to stay on the feet.

Man closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Man lands in his opponent's guard.
mr Man has got the better of the ground game so far.
Mckee controls Man momentarily but Man frees himself.
Man stays in close to Mckee's body and controls the position.
Man works over Mckee with some ground and pound from guard.

Man wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Mckee uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Man trying to control the position from guard on top but Mckee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mckee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Man controls the pace.
Man loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Man slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Man slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Man swings around for an armbar but Mckee sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Man's guard.
Mckee postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Man keeping moving, preventing Mckee from controlling successfully.
Mckee wants to get up but he can't break Man's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mckee throwing strikes from guard but Man blocks nicely.
Man controls Mckee momentarily but Mckee frees himself.
Man pulls Mckee in to control the position.
Mckee sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Man can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mckee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Man is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Man forces Mckee back against the cage and clinches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mckee is trying to force a seperation but Man has the dominant position.

Man breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mckee gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mckee is controlling Man's posture.
Man postures up and lands a big shot to Mckee's brow.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Man lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Man has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Man drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mckee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mckee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mckee!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

mr Man showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Man drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mckee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Man gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Man forces his way into half guard.
Man missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Man. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mckee on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Man is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mckee sees it coming and defends easily.

Man is trying to work for a kimura but Mckee is defending well.

Mckee trying to control but Man postures up.
Man prevents Mckee from improving his position.
Man tries to pass to full mount but Mckee defends it.
Man frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Man looking to control but Mckee is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Mckee is trying to escape the mount.
Man in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Man can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mckee is looking to escape.

Man goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mckee turns into him and now he's in Man's guard.

Man is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Man looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mckee is one step ahead there.
Man takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mckee seems a little lost for a moment, as Man dominates the positioning.
Christian Mckee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
mr Man is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
More stalling from Man.

mr Man comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Man has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
