Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daren William!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Fang!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Bruno Hogan and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Fang or perhaps it was just good defense by William, which made it look bad.
Fang fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Fang.
William tries to buck Fang off but Fang is having none of it.
Fang has control of an arm but William manages to advance to Fang's back!
Fang trying to control the hands but William breaks the grip.
William throwing sloppy strikes.
Fang is trying to get back to his feet but William has full control of the position and if anything, Fang has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Fang is really stuck here.
William punches the canvas rather than the man.
Fang rolls, trying to escape but William keeps control of the position.
William throwing wild punches that miss their target.
Fang is in bad spot here.

William somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Fang just trying to survive but William is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Fang tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
William lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

William avoids the attempt from Fang to control.
William misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Fang tries to hold on but William pushes him away.

Fang tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fang is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

William lands with some strikes.
Fang is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Fang stops William from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Fang working to try and regain half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
William avoids the attempt from Fang to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daren William dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


William stuffs the takedown.
Fang shoots in and drives through. William sprawls well.
William throws a big counter combination but Fang scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Nick Fang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Fang. No joy for William on that attempt.
Fang misses with a body kick.
William is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fang can do to turn this around?

Fang instigates a clinch.
Fang wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fang wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
William tries to pull guard but Fang holds him up against the cage and eventually William drops back down to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
William is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

William pulls guard effortlessly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fang seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Fang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. William swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fang is pushing down on William's leg trying to pass to half guard. William is fighting to maintain full guard but Fang has managed to sneak the leg through.

Fang postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for William to stand up.
Fang dives in for a single leg takedown but William sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
William fails with a takedown attempt.
William defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fang.

Fang clinches up against the cage.
William fails to pull the fight into his guard.
William jumps guard but Fang stands there with William around his waist. William gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Fang goes for a takedown in the clinch but William prevents it.
Fang is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables William to keep the fight standing.
Fang is looking to take this one to the mat.
Fang slows down the pace here.
William has Fang pressed against the cage, preventing Fang from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Fang utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
William won't allow Fang to sweep him here.
Fang doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fang wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Nick Fang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! William's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Fang is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but William pulls his head out easily.
Fang takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fang wants to control but William is keeping busy.

Fang looking for subs from the bottom but William mounts him!
William is landing with some decent strikes but Fang is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Fang tries to hold on but William pushes him away.

William landing punches.
William lands a heavy elbow.
William pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
William won't let Fang get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Fang really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Fang tries to lock up and control but William gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
William blocks Fang's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
William lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Fang is working to get back to half guard.

William scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Fang wants to control but William is having none of it.
William lands a nice shot to the head.
William postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fang looks a forlorn figure.
William will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

William is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fang can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
William lands a big shot there that rocks Fang but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Fang slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Fang manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. William keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
William is trying to pull guard but Fang has him pressed against the cage.
William jumps guard but Fang turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Fang goes for a takedown in the clinch but William prevents it.

William's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and William counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by William.
Daren William has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Fang.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
William is trying to pull guard but Fang has him pressed against the cage.
William prevents a takedown attempt there.
