Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javier Arroyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby TupperIII (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Javier Arroyo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 34 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby TupperIII!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arroyo moves into the clinch successfully.

TupperIII drops back looking for a leg! Arroyo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arroyo manages to kick TupperIII off! TupperIII jumps back into Arroyo's guard.

TupperIII drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and TupperIII jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Arroyo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
TupperIII trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Arroyo wants to sweep but no luck.

Arroyo has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. TupperIII has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
TupperIII is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Arroyo to keep the fight standing.

Arroyo lands a hook that snaps the head of TupperIII backwards.
Arroyo pushes TupperIII back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Arroyo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. TupperIII is aware though and is defending well.

Arroyo manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Arroyo has TupperIII up against the cage in a clinch.
Arroyo lands an uppercut.
Arroyo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. TupperIII just stands there and leans against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Arroyo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics TupperIII uses from the top position.
TupperIII forces his way into half guard.

TupperIII wants to work for an arm triangle but Arroyo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Arroyo has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

TupperIII has momentary wrist control but Arroyo slips an elbow through the middle.

Arroyo got a little sloppy there for a moment and TupperIII has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Arroyo has managed to get both his arms back between TupperIII's legs - danger averted.

TupperIII has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Arroyo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for TupperIII.

Arroyo is nestled in close to TupperIII, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Arroyo tries to pass to full mount but TupperIII defends it.
Arroyo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Arroyo frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

TupperIII can't escape the position.
Arroyo raining down hammerfists from mount.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Arroyo lands a big elbow.
Arroyo softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and TupperIII is out cold! Arroyo jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Javier Arroyo!
Javier Arroyo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
